EFI is looking for a Field Service Technician somewhere in the area between South of Paris and Lyon.

This is a hands-on role and on the field, travelling and visiting customers, supporting them with their technical issues for the wide-format digital printing machines VuteK.

EFI™ VUTEk® superwide digital inkjet printers have played an instrumental role in leading the analog to digital revolution in printing industry. You will work on wide format and super-wide format printing machines doing installations, maintenance, fixiing issues, troubleshoot and support to customers.

 In order to be succesful in this role you need to like travelling and helping customers with a diverse range of issues: could be electric, mechanical, pneumatic, ink, color management. It is a diverse role, no day will be the same with the previous one. What you will do?

  • Onsite technical customer support for warranty, contract and non-contract customers
  • The installation and documenting of ink changeovers, printer upgrades and modifications as directed by Service Management and Service Engineering.
  • The de-installation, Installation and the moving of customer printers.
  • Tradeshow support including printer set up and calibration, demonstration and tear down.
  • End user operator training for specific printer models.
  • Feedback to our US based R&D and engineering teams on printer operation in the field.
  • Be an ambassador for EFI and be r responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with customer.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of Service Reports, Time Tracking, Site Visit Reports, Expense Reports and other business-related documents.
  • Feedback to sales via the service team any opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and increase EFI business opportunities.
  • Feedback to service engineering improvements related to EFI printer documentation and manuals.

 

What you should bring to this role?

  • Knowledge of printing systems and or similar equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum back-up when necessary.
  • Good knowledge in mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Relevant technical apprenticeship or technical qualification or degree in electrical / instrumentation / mechanical / process disciplines preferred.
