Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
- Assist underwriting team in project work and testing of models
- Analysis and modeling of Clients and prospective Client exposures
- Use of proprietary in-house tools to effectively extract, manipulate and report on modeling information
- Automate models and ensure integrity of output and data quality
- Develop and maintain state of the art catastrophe management techniques
- Assist in catastrophe model evaluation, upgrade, and documentation
- Requires verbal and written communication with Clients to clarify submission data sent
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- 3-5 years' CAT Modeling experience with RMS catastrophe models, experience in AIR and EQECAT is an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational database system
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access and Visual Basic, or other programming language
- An excellent academic and mathematical background
- A strong desire to work with and learn about reinsurance
