SUMMARY

This position requires employees to work with higher level shop staff to increase their mechanical aptitude. With guidance from shop staff, Mechanic I’s should be able to excel into higher level Mechanic positions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with all mechanics providing assistance as directed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections without supervision.
  • Perform simple mechanical repairs as directed by other mechanics.
  • Perform clean-up duties in the work area as assigned.
  • Under close supervision, may be called upon to perform higher skilled tasks.
  • Perform work based on current safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Secure parts and tools for use by other mechanics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of industry experience.
  • Must possess ASE certifications: T-6 Electrical and E-2 Electrical. All certifications must be maintained while employed with Crestwood.
  • Must have valid driver’s license in order to operate company vehicles and equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively communicate.
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.
  • Must possess sound reasoning skills and be able to multi-task and maintain focus.

  • Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks
  • Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
  • Able to operate hydraulic press, overhead crane, forklift, mechanical sheer, sheet metal forming tool
  • Must be able to fit tested for respirator
