United Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State, Inc. d/b/a Constructive Partnerships Unlimited (CP Unlimited) is one of New York City's largest multi-service and most widespread Community Living Organizations with programs dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Currently, CP Unlimited has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and strategic AVP, Clinical Services to support the mission, vision, values and strategic direction for Behavioral Services. Reporting to the Vice President, Clinical Services, the AVP will hold responsibility for providing clinical and non-clinical leadership and supervision to a multi-disciplinary team within the Metro Services Division.  Some specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

Position Duties:

  • Overseeing and coordinating day-to-day operations for Behavioral Services
  • Ensuring a person-centered approach in the care delivery model, including advocating for the Minimum Effective Dose (MED) of psychotropic medications
  • Partnering with a multidisciplinary team to assess Individualized Service Plans, Comprehensive Functional Assessments, Behavior Plans, Human Rights Presentations, data sheets, progress notes, etc.
  • Monitoring system effectiveness through metrics and collaboration with managers/supervisors at program sites
  • Collaborating with residential staff to ensure sites operate with safety standards and protocols as established by CP Unlimited and OPWDD
  • Partnering and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, ensures compliance with regulatory bodies, i.e. OPWDD, CMS, OMH, SSA etc.
  • Coordinating with Training and Quality Assurance Departments to ensure requisite trainings and certifications
  • Developing collaborative relationships across the Agency continuum and with the Agency’s external partners

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, qualified candidates must have a doctoral degree (Psy.D/PhD) in clinical psychology, NYS licensed Clinical Psychologist or NYS licensed Behavior Analyst.  A minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health is a must. Leadership and management experience is a highly desired.
