1.0 Position Description

Manufacturing position with the key responsibility to assist in painting plastic parts. Ensure a clean working environment and assist other technicians in the shop as needed. (To prepare and paint equipment). This position functions as a painter on an as needed basis.

2.0 Position Responsibilities

2.1 Repaint parts, touch up paint. Replace defective parts and do any preventative maintenance required. Organization of parts as required completing repairs.

2.2 Duties include unloading/loading plastic parts from the conveyor system, cleaning and upkeep of paint racks, maintenance and troubleshooting of the paint system, and other tasks that contribute to the continuous movement and flow of the paint line.

2.3 Operate a forklift, pallet jack or other necessary equipment to transport parts required in shop.

2.4 Perform inspection tasks, including packaging audit as required, as defined by the Process Control Plan, or applicable instruction sheets.

2.5 Perform painting tasks using/operating an industrial paint sprayer

2.6 Package parts according to the requirements.

2.7 Fill out appropriate production paperwork, including working with the Lead to document defects via the paint monitoring system.

2.8 Backup and assist painting operations when needed.

2.9 Other duties as assigned by supervision.

3.0 Qualification Requirements

3.1 Educational Requirements:

3.1.1 High School diploma or GED.

3.1.2 Ability to apply common computer skills.

3.2 Language Skills Requirements:

3.2.1 Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and operating instructions and system documentation.

3.3 Mathematical Skills Requirements:

3.3.1 Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

3.4 Reasoning Ability Requirements:

3.4.1 Ability to actively participate in problem solving activities

3.5 Physical Requirements:

3.5.1 Extremely physical, and involves repeated bending, stretching, twisting, & lifting. Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
