We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive profitable growth across NSW and the ACT, with a strong focus on the Out of Home channel, including foodservice, wholesale and distribution. We are also open to experienced Area Sales Managers who are ready to step into a broader, more commercially focused role.

 

The opportunity

Reporting to the National Business Manager – Out of Home, this role is responsible for identifying, converting and managing high-value business opportunities that expand Tassal’s market footprint and strengthen long-term customer partnerships.

 

You will play a key role in driving new revenue, developing strategic relationships, and representing Tassal’s brand in market, while working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Drive profitable new business growth across the Out of Home channel, including foodservice, wholesale and distribution

  • Identify, qualify and convert opportunities through the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting to close

  • Build and manage a disciplined pipeline with accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene

  • Develop and deliver high-quality commercial proposals, tenders and category recommendations

  • Lead commercial negotiations aligned to pricing, margin and return guardrails

  • Build strong customer and distributor relationships while representing the Tassal brand in market

     

     

     

Who this role suits

This role will suit an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in the Out of Home sector, including foodservice, wholesale or distribution, as well as a high-performing Area Sales Manager who is ready to step into a broader role with greater commercial ownership, strategic customer engagement and end-to-end responsibility for growth.

 

What you will bring

  • Proven experience in business development, sales or account management within FMCG, foodservice, wholesale or distribution

  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering profitable growth

  • Experience managing the full sales lifecycle, including pipeline development and negotiation

  • Strong analytical capability with experience using Excel, reporting tools and CRM systems

  • Clear, confident communicator with strong influencing and relationship-building skills

  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
