We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive profitable growth across NSW and the ACT, with a strong focus on the Out of Home channel, including foodservice, wholesale and distribution. We are also open to experienced Area Sales Managers who are ready to step into a broader, more commercially focused role.
The opportunity
Reporting to the National Business Manager – Out of Home, this role is responsible for identifying, converting and managing high-value business opportunities that expand Tassal’s market footprint and strengthen long-term customer partnerships.
You will play a key role in driving new revenue, developing strategic relationships, and representing Tassal’s brand in market, while working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Drive profitable new business growth across the Out of Home channel, including foodservice, wholesale and distribution
Identify, qualify and convert opportunities through the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting to close
Build and manage a disciplined pipeline with accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene
Develop and deliver high-quality commercial proposals, tenders and category recommendations
Lead commercial negotiations aligned to pricing, margin and return guardrails
Build strong customer and distributor relationships while representing the Tassal brand in market
Who this role suits
This role will suit an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in the Out of Home sector, including foodservice, wholesale or distribution, as well as a high-performing Area Sales Manager who is ready to step into a broader role with greater commercial ownership, strategic customer engagement and end-to-end responsibility for growth.
What you will bring
Proven experience in business development, sales or account management within FMCG, foodservice, wholesale or distribution
Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering profitable growth
Experience managing the full sales lifecycle, including pipeline development and negotiation
Strong analytical capability with experience using Excel, reporting tools and CRM systems
Clear, confident communicator with strong influencing and relationship-building skills
Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
