The Assistant Site Manager role is based at our Southern Zone site and will involve being a key leader for our operations and crew. You will be working across areas of fish performance and welfare, safety, environment, community, and the effective management of production costs in a positive and proactive manner.

 

Key Duties

·       Embed a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation to ensure the Zone delivers optimal product for the business.

·       Develop, implement, manage, and support people strategies that drive and embed an interdependent accountable culture of excellence.

·       Engage with other marine zone operational teams to understand performance impacts and implement winning ideas and strategies.

·       Implement and continually improve the Zero Harm platform to ensure global best practice from smolt to harvest.

·       Support long-term sustainable farming practices within marine leases, zones, and support services to minimise environmental impacts.

·       Ensure that stocks are managed to optimise financial return and value.

·       Plan, support, and initiate fish transfers and bathing operations.

·       Ensure compliance with all procedures, policies, and certification expectations.

Required Skills & Experience

·       Previous experience and demonstrated success in an operational role within the aquaculture field.

·       Background in people management with the ability to effectively lead a team.

·       Excellent communication and written skills.

·       Strong computer skills to engage with BI functions and support key decision-making processes.

·       Understanding of financial and functional operations.

·       Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
