We’re looking for a Buyer who brings strong analytical thinking, solid procurement awareness, and the confidence to work closely with our manufacturing teams. Based at Eden Millwork, this role calls for someone who can step comfortably onto the plant floor, collaborate with production, and build credibility through a clear understanding of materials, inventory needs, and supplier dynamics. You’ll use that operational insight to support strategic purchasing decisions, maintain reliable vendor relationships, and help ensure materials flow smoothly through our supply chain—contributing directly to efficient production and a high‑quality manufacturing process.

What You’ll Do
As a Buyer for Eden Millwork, you would be responsible for the procurement of goods to match the monthly supply plan through the implementation of company purchasing agreements as well as spot negotiation as directed. Other areas of responsibility include maintaining supplier relationships, shared ownership of margin, and supply forecasting.
At a high level you will:
Support the purchasing process for major product categories while collaborating across sales, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain.
Ensure Metrie optimizes internal manufacturing and external supply to achieve the best company outcomes.
Use efficient tools and processes to align market demand with supply each month.
Represent Metrie professionally and effectively when interacting with customers and suppliers.
Help tailor business models to achieve competitive advantage across markets and channels.
Analyze inventory needs using sales trends and cycle counts; place purchase orders to meet optimal stock and turnover goals.
Candidate requirements
2-4 years progressive experience in a purchasing role preferred
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to learn about the industry and products.
Skilled in MS Excell
Good interpersonal skills
