What you can expect
As our Class A Truck Driver, you will be operating one of our freightliner trucks and will be responsible for picking up and delivering Metrie Anderco products to our California customers. We will provide you with your own designated truck and a gas card.
Geographic Area: You will be driving from our 540 N Airpark Drive, Fullerton, CA branch. You will primarily drive locally to nearby counties within a 120-mile radius including Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego. You will occasionally do a long-haul trip to Northern California during busy periods which will require an overnight stay.
At a high-level, your duties include:
Pre-trip and post-trip inspections of freightliner truck and when stopped enroute
Assist warehouse shipper in loading products into the truck
Occasionally assist customer to unload products from trucks (requires some manual pushing/pulling)
Review work orders for special instructions
Follow all state and national large truck driving safety regulations and standards
Complete documentation for mileage and cargo; keep track of mileage, fuel, and toll expenses; confirm inventory matches shipping documents
Refuel vehicle and check or replace oil as needed
Inspect truck daily for damage or maintenance problems
Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while driving to supervisors
What background will make you successful?
You have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
You have your high school diploma or GED
You are comfortable driving large vehicles on streets and freeways
You have a safe driving record (MVR)
Ability to perform physical work (e.g. pushing/pulling up to 30 lbs.)
You love to learn, work as a team, ask questions, and continue to grow.
You have a “can-do” attitude and approach

The specific base pay within the range will be contingent upon an individual's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Furthermore, it is essential to highlight that our remuneration ranges are established based on the role, level, and location.
