Rail Track Labourer Class 1 – Horsham

• On the job training provided for professional and personal growth via our RAMP program
• 7:30 am – 4:00 pm Mon-Fri roster, RDO every second week
• Hourly rate $38.2780

Key accountabilities include: 

• Carrying out tasks for the renewal or maintenance work across the rail network  

• Participating in the replacement or renewal of rail infrastructure materials i.e. sleepers, rail, ballast, fastenings 

• Safe operation of medium plant as required  

• Cleaning up plant equipment and worksite and participate in general site maintenance.

•  Using & maintaining hand tools and minor mechanical equipment.

• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with appropriate OH&S standards and regulations.

• Flexibility to work overtime and away from home as required.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following: 

• Valid Victorina Driver’s license  

• Previous experience in a manual labouring role is advantageous.

• Strong awareness for risk and safety practices & the ability to use hand tools.

• Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership, and human rights.
