About the role

As the Procurement Specialist - Process Management, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s Corporate Services Group.

 

Support the design and management of innovative procurement processes and drive the adoption of technologies like Zycus. You’ll play a key role in enhancing efficiency and identifying improvement opportunities.

 

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Design, manage, and maintain procurement processes, guidelines, and templates.

  • Simplify procurement processes and maximise adoption in collaboration with the Procurement Manager and Procurement Team.

  • Drive process automation and reduce manual touchpoints with the Technology and Analytics team.

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise procurement processes and integrate digital advancements.

  • Align procurement processes with business objectives and digital transformation goals.

  • Establish and monitor KPIs to assess process effectiveness and identify improvement areas.

 

About you

You are a strategic thinker, with strong communication skills and influencing abilities. You enjoy building strong relationships with stakeholders and working collaboratively across functions to support transformation activities.  

 

Our ideal candidate will also possess the following:

  • Previous experience in procurement roles, focusing on operations and process management

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement processes, with a track record of managing and simplifying them

  • Good understanding of industry procurement best-practices and systems

  • Continuous improvement mindset and excellent problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
