About the Role

In the Track Force Protection Coordinator & Administration role, you will be responsible for important administrative functions that contribute to ensuring safe working environments within the rail corridor as associated with the Network Maintenance Safety Department within the Safety, Sustainability, and Risk function.

This role is ideal for someone who is accurate, efficient, and adept at managing a high volume of tasks. It involves working with various stakeholders and requires strong multitasking skills and the ability to handle a lot of information effectively.

This is a Medical Category 1 role.

 

Administrative Tasks

  • Compiling and distributing team timesheets weekly.
  • Ordering office supplies and Safeworking equipment.
  • Managing the storage of safety-critical documentation at the North Melbourne Depot.

 

Resource and Competency Management

  • Acting as the primary contact for all resource bookings.
  • Arranging medical appointments.
  • Managing staff competency records; ensuring training credentials are up to date; and arranging necessary training sessions.
  • Managing the Rail Industry Worker (RIW) component for team members.

 

Safety and Compliance

  • Contributing to site safety inspections and making sure that the established working environments within the rail corridor are safe and secure for all workers and equipment.
  • Assisting in ensuring compliance with work on track rules and procedures.
  • Providing support to the Track Protection Manager, as required.

 

About You

  • Minimum Year 10 education.
  • Full, unrestricted Victorian Driver’s Licence.
  • Demonstrated experience working on track within the V/Line Network.
  • Sound knowledge of V/Line ‘Work on Track’ Rules and Operating Procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to time-critical milestones.
  • V/Line TFPC3.3 competency is desirable.

 

What We Offer

  • Salary: Base annual salary $89,608 in accordance with classification IMW (Track) 2.4 under the V/Line Infrastructure Agreement 2023.
  • Benefits: 36-hour work week, 5 weeks’ annual leave, 20% leave loading, 11.5% employer-paid superannuation, and free myki for metro and regional travel.
