 Due to the nature of this effort the required staffing levels of this effort will fluctuate significantly on a week-by-week basis.

Field Technician/Installer Jr and Mid
At a minimum, the Field Technician/Installer Jr Subcontractor personnel shall have the following skill/experience level:

  • A minimum of one year of experience of installing premises cabling systems, specifically CAT5 and CAT6 installation utilizing RJ45 connections
  • Installation of electronic equipment at customers facility.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience/combined education with additional technical training equivalent to a technical associate’s degree with a minimum of 1 – 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Works well under moderate supervision for routine task.
  • Ability to resolve Routine problems and issues, without clearly prescribed solutions.
  • Checks and makes minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems.
  • Communicates with colleagues and customer within own project/work area to obtain or provide information requiring some explanation or interpretation.
  • Has substantial understanding of job requirements and overall function.
  • Must be able to continuously travel to perform installations throughout CONUS.
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry forty pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Ability to work in dim lighting.
  • Ability to follow installation instructions to the finest detail.
  • Must be able to obtain suitability and maintain a Public Trust background check.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Additionally, the following skills(s) experiences are preferred:
    • FAA Air Traffic Facility Knowledge
    • Prior installation experience at FAA facilities
 

The personnel shall perform tasks on Client's programs, as assigned by a Client Field Operations manager. On an as-needed basis defined by Client, the contract personnel shall participate in technical status discussions with the appropriate on-site team leaders and/or managers. Buyer’s management will be responsible for coordinating these discussions, which may address, but are not limited to:
 

  • Progress/accomplishments for the day or week
  • Plans for the next day or week
  • Issues/Concerns/Problems
  • Suggestions/Recommendations
