Position Summary: JCCA is seeking a full-time Psychotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Bronx Counseling Center (BCC), a licensed outpatient mental health clinic serving children and adolescents (ages 0-21) in the Bronx, New York. In this role, you will provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based models, conduct intake assessments, collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, maintain accurate client records, and provide crisis intervention as needed. Spanish-speaking skills are preferred to effectively communicate with the diverse population we serve, as many of our clients and their families speak Spanish. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group and family therapy, utilizing evidence-based models.
- Complete timely documentation of progress notes, treatment plans and outcome measures in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with client family members, school personnel, psychiatric staff, and supervisor to assure treatment goals are appropriate for clients.
- Attend clinical case conferences, staff meetings, supervision and training according to program procedures.
- Maintain expected levels of productivity and provide quality care as defined by regulatory agencies and JCCA.
- Conduct crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.
Qualifications:
- LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD, from an accredited academic program.
- Must be licensed to practice in New York State.
- Fluent in Spanish, both spoken and written, is required.
- Minimum one year working in children’s treatment services.
- Proficiency in writing skills necessary in order to fulfill state and city regulations for maintaining client records.
- Proficient with MS Office, with the ability to learn new technology platforms;
- Knowledge of child development and individual and family functioning.
- Skills in working with difficult to engage individuals and families.
- Cultural competence.
- Flexible hours, with a minimum of two evenings per week.
Salary: $62,400 - $64,920 per year
