CANDIDATE PRIVACY POLICY   This Candidate Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes the types of personal information which Alert Logic and its affiliates may collect during our application and recruitment process, how we may use this information, with whom we may share this information, and how to access and update this information.   This Policy applies to the personal information about you that you or anyone else may provide (on your or Alert Logic’s behalf) to Alert Logic during the application and recruitment process (“Candidate Data”) including through our global jobs site hosted by the Oracle Taleo Cloud Service. Your use of the Alert Logic corporate site at www.alertlogic.com is governed by its privacy policy.   Types of Candidate Data We collect the types of Candidate Data that you share with us and/or that we may obtain from third parties, such as your former employers, references, employment screening agencies, recruiters and recruiting and other websites, include: <ul> <li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;">Name, address, email address, telephone number, and other contact information;</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;">Resume, CV, cover letter, previous work experience, professional licenses and certifications, job skills and qualifications, and education information; </li> <li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;">Compensation history and requests, willingness to relocate, and other job preferences; </li> <li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;">Reference information, employer feedback, and information received from background checks; </li> <li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;">Online questionnaire results and information from interviews; and</li> <li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;">Any additional information provided or revealed during the application and recruitment process (e.g., language preference). </li> </ul>   Any information that you submit during the application and recruitment process must be true and not misleading and you must have the lawful right to provide it. If not, this may lead to rejection of your application or disciplinary action including termination of any subsequent employment.   Alert Logic does not request sensitive personal information, such as nationality, citizenship, race, ethnic origin or health information, unless permitted or required by local law or regulation (for example, for equal opportunity monitoring related to diversity and anti-discrimination). To the extent that the information you provide to Alert Logic contains or reveals sensitive personal information, you expressly authorise Alert Logic to handle such information in accordance with this Policy and relevant notices.   Use of Candidate Data  Alert Logic may collect, use, and otherwise process your Candidate Data for talent management and business management purposes, including: (i) to evaluate your skills and qualifications for Alert Logic positions; (ii) to communicate with you; (iii) to maintain appropriate record-keeping related to recruitment and hiring practices and processes; (iv) to analyse and improve recruitment hiring processes and outcomes; and (v) to verify your information and conduct reference and background checks, where permitted. Alert Logic also may collect, use and otherwise process your Candidate Data to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests.    Retention of Candidate Data  If you are hired, your Candidate Data may be used in connection with your employment for talent management and business management purposes. If you are not hired, Alert Logic may retain and use your Candidate Data to consider you for other job opportunities and to comply with record retention requirements for a period of three years. If you do not wish us to retain your Candidate Data, please contact the Talent Management office to which your Candidate Data was submitted or TalentAcquisition@alertlogic.com. Please note, however, that some information may be retained as necessary for our legitimate business purposes or to comply with our legal obligations.   Disclosure of Candidate Data Alert Logic may share your Candidate Data internally and with service providers and other third parties that have been engaged to perform recruitment and employment-related services on behalf of Alert Logic. These third parties are required to use appropriate measures to protect the confidentiality and security of your Candidate Data.   Alert Logic may also be required to disclose certain Candidate Data to third parties as required by law or regulation or in response to legal process or lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.    We will also share your Candidate Data with third parties if we have your consent, or (1) to detect, investigate and help prevent fraud, security, or technical issues; (2) to protect the rights, property, or safety of Alert Logic and our users, applicants, candidates, employees, and others; and (3) if Alert Logic, the jobs site, or a related asset or line of business is acquired by, transferred to, or merged with another company.   Security and confidentiality Alert Logic utilises generally accepted industry practices and standards in order to protect the personal information provided to or collected by us. In the case of third parties under (disclosure of candidate data) above, we require that the relevant businesses, partners, or agents adhere to our policies regarding the use and protection of your personal information.   Access and Correction If you are registered on our careers site, you may directly access the information that you provided and make corrections or updates to that information upon login at any time. You may also request access to and correct your Candidate Data by contacting the Talent Management office to which your Candidate Data was submitted or talentacquisition@alertlogic.com.    Transferring Candidate Data  Alert Logic has offices in the United Kingdom, the United States of America and Colombia. It is possible therefore that your details or information collected may be available to these offices.  However, we have taken all steps necessary to ensure that your information is adequately protected where it is transferred to another jurisdiction. Alert Logic complies with the EU–U.S. Privacy Shield Framework set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union to the United States of America, respectively.  You can view a description of how we comply with the Privacy Shield Principles in our <a href="https://www.alertlogic.com/privacy-statement/">Privacy Shield Policy</a>. Modifications Alert Logic reserves the right to modify this Candidate Privacy Policy from time to time without notice and at Alert Logic’s sole discretion.
