Senior Software Developer

B&A is currently seeking a Software Developer to join our team!


Responsibilities Include:

  • Adhere to programming policies and procedures for new source code, modifications to existing source code and scripts.
  • Develop security documentation and implement appropriate IT security requirements for development changes.
  • Provide formal developmental recommendation and ensure development artifacts adhere to standards and best practices.   
  • Resolve problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Support the testing process by providing insight to the independent testing staff when complex issues arise.
  • Provide technical support to respond to technical or implementation issues, research and resolve problems and other non-programming technical services,
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Business SMEs to confirm understanding of the business requirements analyze system problems
  • Participate in sessions such as Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions or Use Case sessions to assist with the design documentation.
  • Provide an Estimate the Level-of-Effort (LOE) and difficulty of programming assignments
  • Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
  • Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
  • Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team.
  • Providing software development services and experience to implement new initiatives


Must have experience include:

  • 7+ years of Java development experience
  • Experience developing against relational databases and solid SQL querying skills
  • 7+ years of experience in programing Frameworks such as Spring, Angular, Vue.JS, OpenShift, OpenJDK
  • 7+ years of experience with web services development and object-oriented design skills
  • 7+ years of experience with UI development
  • Experience coding functions, stored procedures, scripts, etc. using PL/SQ
  • Developing applications on Linux/Unix Platform
  • Development experience with Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) and WebLogic
  • Experience with Oracle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Suite,
  • Strong SQL experience of writing complex queries and developing views
  • Experience in development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications
  • Proficiency in Java or C++
  • Experience in programing Frameworks such as Spring, Angular, Vue.JS, OpenShift, OpenJDK
  • Solid knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Strong experience in general programming, software design, software debugging, documentation, and testing.


Desired Experience:

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, AWS knowledge


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of relevant experience.
