We’re hiring a full-time Machine Operator for our prawn farm.
Where: Gregory River (Proserpine). You’ll also need to work at our Mission Beach farm for a couple of months (Nov & Dec).
What you’ll do:
- Drive machines like excavators, tractors, and trucks to harvest prawns.
- Do general farm work like fixing roads, cleaning up, and driving trucks.
- Follow safety rules at all times.
- Work as part of a team.
- Use an iPad to get your job list for the day.
What we need from you:
- Experience and a licence to operate a backhoe (must-have).
- A car driver's licence (a truck licence is a big plus).
- A reliable, safety-first attitude.
- Ability to work in all weather, including rain.
- Availability for some weekend work and travel to Mission Beach in Nov/Dec.
- Legal right to work in Australia.
- Farm experience is helpful but not required.

- Great schedule: Most of the year (May-Dec) you work 4 days on, 3 days off (10.5-hour days). Over summer (Dec-May), it’s a standard Mon-Fri week (8.5-hour days).
