WSP is currently seeking a Communications Coordinator to join our Marketing and Communications team in Canada. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day communications services and operations across the internal and external, areas supporting both project execution and promotion, with a primary focus on content planning and development. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, Canada, the Communications Coordinator will work on the entire life cycle of an assignment, from planning through content creation and distribution to target audiences.



  • Participates in regular communication team meetings to align all internal and external milestone deliverables
  • Works as part of the communications team to produce a range of material including video, motion graphics, and print material
  • Develops internal communications content that engages and informs employees
  • Crafts leader communications content that empowers employee decision making
  • Prepares communications content that mitigates or eliminates exposure to organisational reputational risks
  • Builds external communications content that differentiates the company from competitors
  • Delivers information and collaborates on problems/issues, within defined parameters​
  • Recognizes and resolves basic, routine, or common/repetitive problems requiring analytical skill​
  • Makes decisions regarding own work approach/priorities ​
  • Seeks out new assignments to learn and develop


  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills, including copyediting
  • Ability to synthesize complex materials to craft creative, persuasive language and compelling messaging for a variety of audiences, including national audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and effectively deliver a variety of concurrent projects in a demanding environment and under tight deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships and work effectively at all levels àof a national organization
  • Ability to represent Marketing and Communications in a collegial, cooperative and collaborative manner
  • A keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy, completeness and thoroughness of all work products
  • Self-starter capable of assuming oversight and responsibility for several tasks at once with little supervision



  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related discipline
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years’ professional communications-related experience, preferably in a national, multi-site company
  • Bilingual (French / English) is mandatory
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • High energy, reliable and enthusiastic team player
