As an Environmental Planner with WSP, you'll have many opportunities to be a key part of multi-disciplinary projects working across our business lines including energy and infrastructure planning & development. A day in the life:

  • You'll be managing multidisciplinary Impact Assessments for a wide variety of projects including electrical transmission & distribution, pipeline, hydroelectric facilities and other generation projects;
  • You will write and coordinate proposals and compile relevant information through internal and external sources;
  • You will be developing and implementing consultation programs, staying close to our clients and resolving stakeholder concerns;
  • You'll work across our multiple offices and liaise with project sub consultants;
  • You'll have opportunities to assist with the preparation of IA documentation;
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

We'd love to hear from you if you have...

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, Urban Planning, environmental Science or related field with five or more years of experience as an Environmental Planner;
  • Experience working with the application of the Municipal Class EA processes,familiarity with the Provincial Individual EA processes  and the Canadian Impact Assessment Act;
  • Ideally existing Client relationships in the transmission & distribution, electrical generation or other energy industries;
  • Membership with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and Canadian Institute of Planners (RPP and MCIP) is preferred.
