TORONTO (GTA Area)

 

WSP is currently seeking a Cyber Security Consultant to join our Smart Solutions Consulting Team, located at our Toronto (or local GTA) office. Reporting to the Vice President, Smart Connected Infrastructure Solutions, this position will be responsible to lead and expand services from our Smart Solutions Consulting Team for external clients and to act as a resource for internal teams. We serve clients in the transportation, infrastructure, energy, resources, industrial, agricultural, environmental, and buildings sectors.

Designed as a Client-Facing SME role, this is a leadership opportunity for a passionate professional interested in an innovative practice team that is experiencing growth covering the needs of our national Canadian clients.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the WSP client cyber strategy and development plan for client services
  • Act as the Cyber lead across a portfolio of multi-discipline project teams
  • Take on the responsibility to provide strategic advisory services, architecture consulting, business case analysis, risk assessment and provide direction for clients
  • Ensure client deliverables comply with federal, provincial, NIST framework,
  • Act an expert resource for client deliverables such as inhouse digital solutions for software platforms, tools, IoT technology solutions, network architecture, edge devices
  • Assist clients to anticipate requirements and recommend solutions for cyber hardening (cyber-hardening)
  • Collaborate with internal and external experts to develop functional design specifications for Cyber Security solution deployment
  • Act as an expert resource for codes and standards related to converged networks, IoT solutions, Smart integration services
  • Develop new cyber-related business as the liaison/lead with clients, partners, and government
  • Expand Cybersecurity services portfolio for client solutions
  • Support sales cycle from concept to deliverables
  • Develop training material for client use
  • Support client Security Operation Centre (SOC) 
  • Provide responsive consulting support including analyses, solution development, process design, and implementation activities to achieve client goals
  • Actively support sales-related activities
  • Determine client requirements and convert into specific systems, applications, and process designs
  • Advise regarding cybersecurity programs while actively balancing client requirements within business process management, change management, project management, and technology/innovation management
  • Plan and conduct onsite workshops with clients, identify business and information security requirements to strengthen existing systems and provide input for new system requirements
  • Analyze current and planned technology architectures, and process systems related to cybersecurity to recommend improvements
  • Apply account management methods to grow business pipeline business
  • Inclusively execute projects within established scope, schedule, and budget while meeting and exceeding project management and QA/QC standards
 

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE to SUCCEED

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical related fields,
  • Minimum of eight (12) years’ overall experience in cybersecurity consulting
  • Minimum of five (8) years of project management and/or team management
  • Minimum of five (8) years’ experience in cybersecurity strategy, risk assessment, firewall, IDS, SIEM, Vulnerabilities Assessments technologies
  • System integration and automation advisory and consulting services of IoT/IIoT, smart city, intelligent building systems, enterprise IT and OT cybersecurity, converged data and voice communications, campus WAN, LAN and WiFi systems, private networks, and various s/w development and system integration
  • Knowledge of electricity utility-related information and operational technology domains
  • Appropriate certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 or SANS cybersecurity certification(s) are considered an asset
  • Experience with regulatory standards NERC CIP and the NIST Frameworks
  • Experience in managing cybersecurity operations center and incident response is an asset
  • Experience in operational cybersecurity for utilities, critical infrastructure, and systems
  • Knowledge of the Utility and/or Power and Gas industry would be an asset
  • Business development and client relationship management is preferred
  • Experience in business transformation and program delivery is preferred
  • Available for domestic and some international travel
