Summary: To ensure an exceptionally high level of service to guests of CS Venue and interacts with guests in a positive, professional manner with enthusiasm and sincerity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following and other duties as assigned.

·       Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and wine.

·       Anticipates guests’ basic needs.

·       Communicates with back waiters to ensure courses are delivered in a timely manner.

·       Attends daily meetings with Chef and studies the menu and wine list.

·       Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.

·       Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.

·       Enters and maintains orders in RTP.

·       Totals bill and accepts payment.

·       Executes proper table etiquette and mechanics.

·       Performs dining room set up and breakdown and does daily side work.

·       Maintains all health codes and sanitation requirements.

·       Must adhere to CS Venue Hygiene and Grooming policy.

·       Provide a guest experience that exceeds the guest’s expectations.

·       Supports TSG Ski & Golf sustainability initiatives.

·       Adheres to TSG Ski & Golf policies and procedures.

·       Knowledge of and adheres to Skier Responsibility Code and Colorado Skier Safety Act.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:        

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

 

Qualifications:          

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

·       Must have 3-5 years fine dining experience and complete 2 consecutive seasons with CS Venue.

·       Must have basic wine and bar knowledge and knowledge of CS Venue wine list.

·       Must pass service test after 3 weeks with a score of 75% or better.

·       Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

·       Must be TIPS Certified

 

                       

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 1-2 years as wait staff in fine dining establishment.

                 

Language Skills:    

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

              

Mathematical Skills:      

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

            

Reasoning Ability:           

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

       

Computer Skills:          

Basic understanding of Restaurant point-of-sale system.

    

Other Qualifications:

Must be able to function effectively at 10,000 feet above sea level.

The pay rate for this position is $11.40/hr + tips
