Role
The LAB is seeking both architectural and environmental designers, with strong backgrounds and
interest in merging digital and physical environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about
their craft, entrepreneurial in spirit, and driven by curiosity. As a Designer / Project Manager at
the LAB, you will be part of a team of designers and architects delivering the spatial and
architectural design of our incredible experiences.

You’ll be working with our multi-disciplinary team of creative technologists, visual designers, and
strategists. You'll be part of large scale, public, high budget projects from pitch to buildout,
helping set scope deliverables, planning out design phases, designing and managing the creative
concepts as the team member who understands how to think architecturally, and problem solve with
design.

You will work closely with the Design Director, leading projects with small and large teams across
disciplines. You'll communicate and coordinate with clients at world renowned and industry leading
brands. You'll share wisdom with creative teams internally and assist in maintaining contractor and
vendor relationships externally. The ideal candidate is a great contributor to both the creative
and technical development of projects from concept through installation.

Qualities we are looking for:
•     3-5 years of experience in interior architecture, or environmental design agency. Cultural, hospitality, retail, technology client project experience is a plus.
•     Experience in all project phases from concept to installation required
•     Ability and comfort working on multiple projects simultaneously
•     Demonstrates a strong balance of technical expertise and conceptual design skills
•     Advanced skills in 3D Modeling and Rendering tools. Rhino, Sketchup, AutoCAD and Adobe Suite required. Knowledge of AfterEffects, Cinema4D or other motion graphics software is helpful. Knowledge of Grasshopper, Python, and other parametric design tools a plus.
•     Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to collaborate with other design disciplines is key.
•     Feels comfortable with fast timelines, and is self-sufficient creating design schedules as well as managing deadlines and tasks.
•     Experience with agile workflows and tools like Monday.com, Notion, Trello.

Salary 78,000 to 105000

Salaries vary in response to an individual's experience and proven track record based on total value of projects designed or managed, number of staff managed, complexity of  projects completed, presentation experience, and seniority.
