Join our winning team as a Project Lead - Capital Projects.  This role may be located at any Olin manufacturing facility. Locations include McIntosh, AL; Plaquemine, LA; St. Gabriel, LA; Niagara Falls, NY; Charleston, TN; or Freeport, TXIn your role as a Project Lead - Capital Projects, you will work with many stakeholders to complete the Front-End Loading on Projects including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, EH&S, Technology Center, Procurement, Finance as well as site, business and corporate leadership, to scope, estimate, define deliverables and prioritize projects.  This role will lead the project team and stakeholders through the evaluation of alternatives and select the best options for Olin and lead the project through engineering, authorization & construction.  Activities may also include feasibility studies to help establish viable options for achieving site, business or corporate strategic objectives.  The incumbent will utilize Olin’s Capital Project Management System (CPMS) to ensure appropriate project communications and forecasting is managed.  The Olin project lead is the expert in project processes & tools and will serve as a coach, mentor and trainer to plant engineers executing smaller projects.


Project Lead - Capital Projects Essential Job Functions:

  • Partner with functional resources to identify, gather and analyze information and data relating to a proposed project scope.
  • Facilitate discussions to ensure clear and accurate definition of project deliverables and value assessment.
  • Prepare detailed scopes of work for proposed projects in conjunction with other site resources such as production engineering, maintenance, reliability, EH&S, Finance, Tech Center, Operations, Engineering and Business Leadership.
  • Lead the identification and analysis of project alternatives
  • Prepare detailed specifications for materials and equipment and prepares installation scopes of work to enable a partnership with Purchasing in the definition of the project procurement plan.
  • Develop project cost estimates & schedules at FEL1, FEL2, and FEL3 levels.

Project Lead - Capital Projects Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering; Chemical, Mechanical or Civil discipline preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience in project related roles with at least 5 years in project management.
  • Work experience with managing vendor proposals and quotations, contractor bids and development of desired solutions for projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Must possess a valid US driver's license.
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $130,000 - 186,000. This salary is only an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
