JOB TITLE: Cage & Credit Cashier

 

Job Description: 


The Cage & Credit Cashier is responsible for logging and maintaining Title 31 compliance accurately, ensuring guest needs and satisfaction are handled professionally. Possess pleasant, and professional guest service as well as phone ethic when working with guests calling in for any issues, including cage, credit and marketing information. Ability to assist guests with enrollment, redeem promotions, and explain benefits of the loyalty club to members.

 

Job Focus:


Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

  • Cash all types of checks for patrons within the specified guidelines
  • Records all checks cashed in the specified computer system
  • Process any paperwork, able to enter computer data, and transactions accurately
  • Conduct all ACSC transactions required such as Markers, Front Money, Payments, Guest Sign Ups, Complete Credit application, activate credit lines, issue Credits & Fills and any other transactions as assigned
  • Balance bank at end of shift
  • When handling cash, chips or promotional items able to balance
  • Redeem chips/tokens, TITO (ticket in ticket out) and Race and Sports tickets for guests
  • Redeem all acceptable types of foreign currencies
  • Make and handle all employee issued banks
  • Handle any Kiosk functionality required by cage
  • Secure and document all recordable transactions made with company assets
  • Assist patrons with general information upon request
  • Perform drop and count procedures in accordance with gaming and company regulations and departmental policies
  • Learn every window functionality including the main bank within both the main and satellite cage
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned
  • Assist with daily credit processes
  • Perform bank verification in Central Credit and/or NCC on credit applications
  • Verify credit applications to ensure accuracy
  • Obtain additional information on new applicants as needed
  • Prepare credit applications for review
  • Store all credit documents and information electronically, according to standards
  • Enter data into all daily logs
  • Remark accounts as needed
  • Ensure department is providing the highest level of service expected for internal and external customers
  • Work to ensure accuracy of markers, returns and write offs
  • Provide credit information to inquiring casinos upon request with authorization
  • Document & file information according to departmental procedures and ensure compliance
  • Answer phones and perform other related duties as assigned
  • Will work all positions/stations as assigned (i.e Front Window, Main Bank, Credit Window, Fill/Chip Bank, Satellite Cage, etc…)
  • Enroll and create new member accounts in a friendly and professional manner
  • Input all player information into the database and issue Loyalty Club cards
  • Explain the program to guests along with the benefits of the card
  • Evaluate members play and issue comps based on Loyalty Club guidelines
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

 

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • One (1) year experience as either a casino cage cashier or credit clerk is preferred
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal forms
  • A professional demeanor and attire is to be maintained at all times
  • Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to working independently with little to no supervision
  • Must be able to perform and promote a team environment
  • Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of staff and leadership
  • Previous experience in a high-end luxury Gaming or Hospitality environment is desired
  • Must have exceptional time management skills
  • An intermediate to proficient understanding of Computer systems such as: Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is preferred
  • Proven ability to resolve guest conflicts with ease or determine if management is needed in certain guest situations
  • A valid Nevada Gaming License is required and must be obtained before entering this position
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
