About the Organization: New Teacher Center (NTC) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving student learning by guiding a new generation of educators. Founded by teachers in 1998, NTC works in conjunction with school districts, state policymakers, and educators across the country to increase the effectiveness of teachers and school leaders at all levels. These programs are built upon research-based principles for teacher onboarding, mentoring, and ongoing coaching, and are proven to accelerate teacher effectiveness, reduce teacher churn and improve student achievement. NTC has made it their mission to overcome challenges students and teachers face by providing all educators with the support and resources necessary to succeed from their first day to their last. NTC now supports over 6,500 mentors and coaches and 24,000 teachers and is improving the learning of over 1.8 million students across the country. Position Summary: At NTC, we know that substantial student success for all kids requires that teachers, coaches, and leaders have current and deep knowledge about students and their learning paths. We believe that equitable schools ensure that those who support Black, Brown, and indigenous students, multilingual learners, and students with disabilities have access to both information and collaborative ways of acting upon that information in order to meet the academic and social/emotional needs of their students. The Impact Analyst is a key player who supports NTC consultants and district partners as they deliver on that promise.
Under the supervision of the Director, Impact, the Impact Analyst will support the organization and district partners in understanding impact and program quality through evaluation planning and consultation, and through qualitative and quantitative data collection, and reporting as part of a broader impact strategy. The Impact Analyst will engage in projects and activities that allow NTC and our partners to better define, measure, and communicate our impact, with special attention on understanding and utilizing available district data. The Impact Analyst will be an advocate for impact that values proximity, simplicity, accuracy, and agency for those closest to the work. In short, the Impact Analyst is a “coach of coaches” who makes sure data informs equity-centered decision making.
The Impact Analyst supports internal staff and program partners with logic modeling and survey design consultation and provides actionable reporting for key data elements necessary to support program improvements. This position works cross-functionally with NTC departments to ensure that needs around data and impact are being represented and addressed. This role requires five general attributes: attention to detail, client services orientation, excellent project management skills, intellectual curiosity, and a joy-filled commitment to justice.
