CAMPUS RECRUITING SPECIALIST
The Campus Recruiting Specialist plays a critical role within the Campus Team whose main objective is to recruit ~50 analysts into investing roles across U.S. offices annually. The role also actively supports recruitment activity for ~20-25 summer interns across multiple departments and ~40 participants for early talent programs hosted by Cambridge Associates. This position works closely with their internal recruiting team, including campus recruiters, and hiring teams to ensure all candidates have a positive and professional recruiting experience.
Day-to-day responsibilities include keeping the recruiting process organized and actively maintaining clear lines of communication with recruiters, candidates and interviewers. The Campus Recruiting Specialist will provide great customer service and smoothly manage interview logistics for approximately 300-350 candidates annually. The Campus Recruiting Specialist will also be in direct communication with career services offices at multiple universities and MBA programs across the U.S. The role will also be responsible for posting jobs and direct sourcing through the Handshake platform.
Responsibilities:
- Lead “Super Day” event planning for Arlington, Boston, San Francisco and Dallas offices. These are virtual candidate interviewing days which occur multiple times per week during the fall and spring campus seasons. The tasks include organizing interview schedules/materials, distributing information to team, and set-up of MS Teams interviews.
- Manage and coordinate logistics, including shipment of materials, for campus events across undergraduate and MBA spaces. Engage with career services and/or external partner organizations staff to solidify details of each event. Outreach to student organizations to market upcoming events and recruitment deadlines. Manage inventory of signs, tablecloths, brochures, and swag.
- High internal exposure through scheduling candidate interviews with varying CA business units. Assist in candidate debriefs by capturing the feedback of the interviewing team.
- Process incoming applications and maintain accurate candidate files through MS Outlook inboxes and the applicant tracking system software. Update candidate statuses within applicant tracking system.
- Communicate with candidates to schedule interviews, provide status update on their candidacy and answer questions.
- Post open positions through career platforms, such as, Handshake. Manage various “campaigns” through Handshake platform to build candidate pipelines across open positions. Special focus on attracting broadly diverse candidates.
- Collaborate with campus recruiters to manage all aspects of the recruiting and hiring process, including candidate surveys, reference checks, background checks, and pre-hire communication.
- Partner with team to prepare recruitment communications including presentations and additional collateral.
- Partner with team to coordinate aspects of internship programming annually.
- Perform a variety of clerical tasks such as shipping, electronic filing, data entry, calendar maintenance, scheduling meetings, and reserving conference rooms.
- Based on performance, there is an opportunity for more candidate interaction including participation in career fairs and initial resume and phone screens to evaluate candidates for “next step” in recruitment process. Opportunity to travel.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree (any major) with record of high academic achievement
- Recruiting-related or administrative assistant experience through professional work, internship or school activities/organizations
- Effective project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and prioritization, and an ability to operate effectively in a deadline-driven business environment
- Service-oriented mindset with an ability to develop relationships
- Ability to drive results, an eagerness to learn, problem solve and the ability to work both as a part of a team and independently
- A high level of discretion to handle sensitive information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office suite; experience with an Applicant Tracking System and Handshake a plus
- Must be willing to travel (travel opportunities will arise and could range from 20-30% during peak campus season)
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship or restriction now and in the future
