Title: Improvement Engineer
Location: Plaquemine, LA

Salary: $93,800 - $135,000
Schedule: 5/8 or 9/80

Focus: The Improvement Engineer is responsible for leading the plant-level improvement process by gathering and analyzing data, evaluating improvement opportunities, and implementing improvement projects while ensure plant improvements align with business objectives.


Improvement Engineer Essential Job Functions:

  • Works to optimize operations to meet Business and plant goals.
  • Initiates changes to Plant Operating procedures.
  • Implements best practices to optimize operations including but not limited to pipeline and tracking tools ownership.
  • Ensures regulatory and responsible care compliance via operating discipline.
  • Partners with Plant Process Control Coordination to ensure process control optimization; partners with plant operations to generate process data for improvement opportunities.

Improvement Engineer Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering; Chemical or Mechanical Engineering disciplines preferred.
  • 1+ years of project and/or chemical manufacturing experience.
  • Prior management of vendor proposals and quotations, contractor bids, and development of desired solutions preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
