Summary of responsibilities:

The Analyst, Asset Management is responsible for supporting CATSA’s capital asset financial management services, which entails analyzing capital asset transactions against internal policies and accounting and auditing standards, preparing complex journal entries, and drafting supporting documentation. The Analyst, Asset Management performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.

What you need to succeed

To qualify for the position, you must have:

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or relevant discipline.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Valuable skills include:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, or working towards one.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Knowledge of sound reporting and approval processes.
  • Experience maintaining financial systems including capital asset management systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Great Plain.
  • Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA.

Specific work requirements

  • Ability to work overtime as required;
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Language Profile: English Essential;
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
