Zimmerman Associates, Inc is seeking a Website Content Manager and Digital Marketing Specialist to lead strategy, development, and day-to-day management of the National Institute of Corrections digital presence. The role combines Drupal-based content management and development with data-driven digital marketing to ensure resources reach and engage correction professionals nationwide.
The position is responsible for maintaining a high-quality, accessible and user-focused web experience while driving awareness and usage of training and information resources, and is part of a team with two additional web developers and a web content manager who report to the Lead Web Developer and Project Program Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Drupal Content Management and Development
- Manage daily website content updates using Drupal
- Collaborate with developers to implement theming and configuration changes
- Ensure site stability, functionality, and adherence to best practices
Digital Marketing and Engagement
- Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to promote NIC training and information resources
- Apply SEO best practices to increase visibility and discoverability of content
Analytics and Performance Optimization
- Monitor website performance using tools such as Google Analytics and SiteImprove
- Use data insights to refine content strategy and improve user experience
Content Strategy
- Develop and maintain editorial calendars and content processes
- Ensure consistency in tone, branding, and messaging across the website
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, website content management, or a related field (internships and academic experience welcome).
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (GovDelivery, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar).
- Experience using Drupal or another enterprise CMS for content updates (Drupal experience preferred).
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks.
- Interest in public sector communications and mission-driven work.
- Basic programming skills, good grasp on HTML and CSS syntax and structure.
