How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation?
The Primary Health Care Lead (PHCL) is a key role within the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) project, focused on advancing primary health care initiatives in alignment with project objectives and goals. The incumbent plays a key role in overseeing the delivery, development, and implementation of primary health care services within all levels of care. His/her responsibility is to ensure that these services are accessible, high-quality, patient-centred, and aligned with public health goals. Under the leadership of Director Technical Services and MOH Director Primary Health Care Services, The PHCL will work with Ministry of Health and District Health Management Teams (DHMT), to improve their capacity to develop and deliver primary health care services (including GBV prevention and response). The PHCL is instrumental in ensuring the sustainability of MCC HSS cGBV initiatives by embedding GBV services into the fabric of primary health care systems, building capacity, ensuring funding, engaging communities, and advocating for policies that support long-term health system resilience. Additionally, the Primary Health Care Lead is responsible for managing the delivery of primary health services and ensuring they meet the health needs of the community. This role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, implementing health policies, and ensuring that care services are equitable, accessible, and in line with evidence-based practices.
