Pay range:
$20.00-$22.00

The purpose of this position is to ensure that internal, external customers and colleagues receive the highest quality of customer service.  This position is more physical and will require warehouse dock area managing, assisting customer with will call orders, loading trucks and dispatching routes.  This may involve answering questions, researching information such as billing of orders, able to facilitate resolution of transport issues and have a firm understanding of logistics compliance. Coordinating orders to operations so that they are processed in a timely manner.  The nature of this job requires an individual that is intelligent, dependable and detail oriented.  This individual will work closing with billing, operations and sales.  This individual must be motivated to meet the goals of the department and be willing to “go the extra mile” in serving the customer.

Primary Position Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the dispatching of delivery drivers
  • Organizing dock pallets at the start of each morning
  • Research and resolve any problems regarding late orders/deliveries, credits, short shipments/missing products etc…
  • Communicate Production/Operational issues with Logistics Manager
  • Communicate Logistical issues (routing, drivers) with Logistics Supervisor
  • Assist with Fed Ex shipments
  • Loading and dispatching
  • Checking off orders for accuracy
  • Check in drivers and training will be provided on common QA
  • All other reasonable requests.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must have 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must have communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively, both written and verbally, with internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry is a plus.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Required Computer Knowledge:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and word
  • Working knowledge of GPS software ( not required but a plus )
  • 10 Key by touch

Education:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D., or a combination of relevant work experience
