Position: Systems Engineer – Infrastructure (Remote)
Starting Annual Base Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 (DOE) plus a comprehensive benefits package

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with expertise in Hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), Dell VxRail, VMware, and Azure Stack HCI best practices. Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management: Deploy, operate, administer, and manage VMware, VxRail, Nutanix, and Azure environments.
System Administration: Manage on-site, off-site, and cloud IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, Linux-based appliances, and Windows/Linux servers.
Project Management: Lead infrastructure projects such as new Internet connections, on-prem to cloud migration, and system management software evaluations.
Scripting and Automation: Use scripting tools (PowerShell, VB, Python) to optimize and manage IT infrastructure.
User Support: Resolve IT support requests, manage the service ticket queue, and perform tasks to meet or exceed end user expectations.
Documentation: Update and create documentation and standard operating procedures (SOP).
Troubleshooting: Configure and troubleshoot on-prem and cloud servers, networking, and security.
Disaster Recovery: Design and implement disaster recovery plans and backups.
Business Interaction: Collaborate with non-technical business users to solve technical and business challenges related to their computer systems.
Ability to travel on-site to work on hardware as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience with hypervisor and virtualization technologies (VMware, VxRail, vSphere, vCenter, vCloud, VMware View, vRealize, vSAN, NSX, Microsoft Azure).
In-depth knowledge of virtualized and hyper-converged environments, particularly VxRail, Azure Stack HCI, or Nutanix.
Expertise in VMware vSphere upgrades, P2V and V2V migrations, and VMware to Azure migrations, along with PowerShell scripting.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and disaster recovery planning for VMware and Azure.
Proficient in troubleshooting ESXi servers using the command line.
Capable of capacity planning and resource allocation.
Experience with Active Directory management.
Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to admit when you need assistance and leverage team support.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage work without supervision.
Attention to detail and documentation skills.
Nice-to-Have:
Office365 Application Suite Experience (OneDrive, Power Apps, PowerBI, Power Automate)
Hands-on experience configuring and managing Layer 3 switches, firewalls, and VPN appliances
Hands-on experience managing requests using cloud-based ticketing systems (ITSM experience is a plus)
Hands-on experience working in a Windows-based environment troubleshooting issues with end-users
Hands-on experience managing ERP systems in food service, distribution, or retail environments
Hands-on experience managing POS systems in B2C environments
Relevant certifications (VMware, Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, Cisco).
Database administration experience (SQL/MySQL)
Familiarity with wireless RF technologies and warehouse hardware (scanners, forklift computers, production stations)
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
Salary: $110,000 - 140,000 (DOE) plus wide array of benefits
Location: Remote, US. This position can be performed in the following states: AZ, AR, CA, CO, IL, MD, NM, NV, and TX.
