Position Summary:

The Administrative Analyst is responsible for conducting special research studies, analyzing data, preparing statistics, making recommendations based on research findings, and monitoring and coordinating project/program activities. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, process and track requisitions in banner for various sports
  • Enter travel in concur and reconcile trips for various sports.
  • Help prepare information to be sent to the NCAA
  • Prepare and monitor travel budgets for each sport
  • Acts as the department liaison with the university business office in regards to the sports camps, (sports camps are private camps and funds for facility fees are paid to the university, insurance information, rosters etc. are all provided to University business office at the conclusion of camp.)
  • Work with various departments on campus including: Chancellor's Office, Provost, System Office, Human Resources, Travel, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Information Technology, Student Accounts, Housing
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of department operations, policies, and procedures
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
Knowledge of basic accounting principles

Ability to plan and execute systems and organizational analysis and feasibility studies
Ability to conduct research and perform quantitative quality assurance reviews
Ability to research, prepare, and present comprehensive written and oral reports
Ability to organize and conduct meetings and workshops

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Business Office experience is a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of an earned Bachelor's Degree in public administration, general business, or a related field

Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee
