Position: Business Development Manager

Role Overview:

Rockwell Group is seeking a full-time Business Development Manager to join our office in New York. Candidates must have a passion for design, be a team player, and possess a strong sense of responsibility and initiative.  Primary tasks include, but are not limited to, responding to Requests of Proposals (RFP), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), and preparing presentations for client interviews. The chosen candidate will also interact with the firm’s leadership including but not limited to Partners, Public Relations, Legal, and Accounting Teams.
This position reports directly to the Chief Development Officer. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• RFP/RFQ/RFI/EOI evaluation and response.
• Firm qualification / capabilities presentation creation, management, and process ownership.
• Development of project proposals and scopes of work, in concert with project teams and senior management.
• Documentation of opportunities throughout the business development cycle and pipeline.
• Project specific, geographic, and industry-focused research.
• Departmental duties include meetings, calls, and travel coordination.
• Outlook contact management, LinkedIn connections and research, and other administrative responsibilities as required for the Business Development group. 
• Meeting client-dictated deadlines on a regular basis.
  
   

Requirements:

• B.A. (or other equivalent degrees).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with the business development or marketing team in an Interior Design, Architecture or others AEC related firms.
• Understanding of the architectural phasing, design, and documentation process.
• Understanding of rendering, BIM, and other industry-specific processes.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Excellent reading and writing skills.
• Strong organizational and time management practices.
• Passion for design, architecture, and technology, with a keen interest and awareness of emerging trends.
• Strong abilities in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office products are necessary.
• Experience on the Deltek platform is highly desirable.

This is a full-time, in-studio position in Manhattan. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience ranging from $115,000 to $140,000 excluding potential bonuses and other benefits.
