Duties and responsibilities:
- Installs, maintains and repair work common to the trade of general building repairs including HVAC
- Assist in repair of plumbing, mechanical, electrical and communication services
- Performs routine repair and preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities
- Basic computer skills with the ability to work with various applications, including Building Management Systems
- Responsible for ongoing maintenance and operations of the heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems and equipment, including the boiler plant
- Prepare offices for initial occupancy, turn-over rooms and apartments as needed, which may include painting, and coordinating additional services
- Oversee building emergency response systems including patient/resident emergency call systems
- Maintains clear path of egress from buildings in all weather conditions
- Coordinates inspections, equipment repair, and contractors for equipment maintenance as needed
- Conduct walk-through of buildings and create necessary work-orders.
- Maintain logs and forms to support policies and procedures for proper building management
- Ensure outside contract services are properly completed/supervised in accordance with contracts
- Has the ability to meet the physical demands of the position

- Communicate effectively, appropriately both verbally and via written correspondence

- Facilitates emergency assistance as necessary, as outlined in a training manual
