POSITION PROFILE

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing marketing and product launch campaigns that drive MGI brand awareness and sales revenue in the Americas. This role involves working with cross-functional teams in HQ and America so great leadership and communication skills plus the knowledge of the NGS market will be essential to excel in this position.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Possess a strong understanding of customer needs within the next-generation sequencing market segment, through direct customer contact and primary and secondary research.
  • Work with cross-functional groups- Product Management, Product Development, and Sales teams — to develop accurate marketing personas, effective customer segmentation strategies, insightful buyer journeys, and useful value propositions and key messages specific to the next-generation sequencing market segment.
  • Convert customer and market insight into core marketing briefs and strategic marketing plans that drive successful lead generation and product launch campaigns.
  • Collaborate with creative designers, public relations team.
  • Monitor the success of marketing campaigns by using advanced digital tagging and metrics to ensure that key performance indicators are met and that campaigns demonstrate a positive return on investment.
  • Develop engaging content including videos, webinars, application notes, and technical articles to establish thought leadership.
  • Develop sales tools and marketing collaterals to support the sales team.
  • Manage PR/trade shows/conferences to increase MGI brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Responsible for campaign metrics and dashboards to measure the efficiency of marketing activities.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 3+ years in life sciences or related industry marketing experience, with preference given to candidates with strong experience in NGS applications and workflows.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial marketing, business development, customer management, and lead generation activities.
  • 3+ years of experience with the next-generation sequencing (NGS) market or related life sciences technology and market segments.
  • Extensive experience with defining marketing strategy and creating marketing campaigns and marketing. plans required.
  • Excellent written, presentation, communication, and collaboration skills with experience presenting to diverse scientific and business audiences.
  • Digital marketing and PR experience is required.
