The Product Manager is responsible for all marketing-related aspects of the products within the NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) product portfolio for Americas. This includes developing and implementing effective marketing strategies and tactics to ensure that products in the assigned portfolio achieve revenue and operating profit targets.



  • Responsible for traditional marketing deliverables such as forecast, pricing, product positioning, messaging, promotional strategies, life cycle plans, and advising on product improvements and new product needs.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new product launch.
  • Develop sales tools (i.e., cost calculators, battle cards…etc.) and marketing materials, such as application notes, brochures, website, and all media.
  • Analyze and report on a regular basis market trends, sales, and competitive information and its effect on the performance of the portfolio.
  • Stay current on competitor activities and define differentiators.
  • Routinely communicate with the sales team regarding product updates and availability, competitive activity, sales positioning, best practices, and new product development updates.
  • Be the advocate of the Americas team and work closely with PM and other departments in HQ to ensure successful product launch and sales support and achieve sales targets in the Americas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Genetics, Business or related field or equivalent years.
  • Master's Degree and/or PhD is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of product management in NGS platform or similar experience.
  • Sales or customer-facing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills are required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Excellent communication and team management skills are required.
  • Fluency in English is required, Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
  • Willing to travel up to 20%


The base salary range for this position is $126,000 to $159,000 . This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. The actual compensation paid to any individual for this position may vary depending on factors such as experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
