Job Summary:

Complete Genomics, Inc., an affiliated company of BGI, is committed to multi-disciplinary research and development in life science, biotechnology, and healthcare application.

This position is for a self-motivated individual with strong technical background in genomics technologies, especially in the field of single-cell sequencing and spatial genomics. The candidate will play the pivotal role of project manager—tracking and communicating project progress internally as well as to our external collaborators partnering on projects utilizing BGI’s proprietary Stereo-Seq technology  (See https://twitter.com/BGI_Research/status/1456849864348692482). This candidate will work with influential Principal Investigators or industrial partners to apply this innovative spatial genomics technology toward their respective research areas to generate breakthrough scientific findings and publications.  

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Project and program management of STOmics collaborations
• Develop and maintain detailed work plans for each collaborator and customer, which include identification of project tasks, tracking milestones, and assignments of work project responsibilities, schedules, plans, resources, and status reports.
• Communicate with collaborators and customers on a timely matter on their progress.
• Work with the internal product teams for project status updates and communicate feedback from external partners.
• Initiate new projects by introducing Stereo-Seq to prospective collaborators.  

Qualifications:

• BS or MS in biology, science, and other related fields.
• Strong project management skills are required, including attention to detail and organization skills.
• 2+ years prior project or program management experience in biotechnology and related field is highly desired.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools
• Prior event management or marketing experience is desired.
  

The base salary range for this position is $99,000 to $120,000. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. The actual compensation paid to any individual for this position may vary depending on factors such as experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
