The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) has one (1) exciting fixed-term opportunity up to July 29, 2022 within the Corporate Services and Corporate Secretariat branch at CATSA Headquarters.

Summary of responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager, Information Management, Privacy and ATIP, the Officer, Information Management, is responsible for the provision of information management (IM) and records management services and support to CATSA management and staff. The Officer, Information Management, performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.

What you need to succeed

To qualify for the position, you must have:

  • Successful completion of a college diploma in Records/Information Management;
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience providing front-line client services;
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a IM lifecycle records management environment;
  • Experience using records management systems;
  • Experience providing administrative services;
  • Experience analyzing, classifying, coding, indexing and cross-referencing subject content of documents;
  • Knowledge of IM principles, program components, and related legislation and regulations;
  • Knowledge of IM and Records Management policies, standards and practices;
  • Knowledge of function based classification systems;
  • Knowledge of retention and disposition practices;
  • Knowledge of security classifications;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, especially with regard to its document management capabilities;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.

Valuable skills include:

  • Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA;
  • Knowledge of related sections of the Library and Archives Canada Act, Copyright Act, National Library Act, Official Languages Act, and sections of the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

Specific work requirements

  • Ability to work overtime as required;
  • Ability to travel as required;
  • Language Profile: Bilingual (BBBB);
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance;
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
