Audio Producer/Presenter – SAWA

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sawa seeks experienced audio producers to develop and produce high-quality digital audio journalism. The ideal candidate will have a passion for audio storytelling, strong production skills, and a deep understanding of the digital audio landscape.

SPECIFIC DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conceptualize, develop, and produce captivating audio content in multiple formats, including news stories, features, documentaries, and episodic shows.
• Generate innovative ideas for audio programs, interviews, and features.
• Collaborate closely with journalists, editors, and stakeholders to ensure content aligned with editorial and brand guidelines.
• Recorded, edited, and mixed audio using industry-standard software and equipment.
• Track and analyzed audio performance to gain insights into audience preferences and optimize content strategy.
• Produce impactful copy for digital engagement posts, working closely with the engagement and marketing teams.
• Create and deliver daily or weekly podcasts, collaborating closely with audio editors and sound designers to produce polished final versions.
• Collaborate with hosts, writers, and team members to develop compelling and relevant content.
• Craft interview questions and oversaw the entire interview production process.
• Coordinate and managed all aspects of production, including scripting, recording, and editing.
• Exercise editorial judgment that reflected sophistication while considering length, pacing, and tone.
• Collaborate with other departments to maximize the visibility and opportunity of shows.
• Stayed informed about current events, trends, and topics to keep content fresh and engaging.
• Initiate and collaborated internally to ensure creative, editorial, and legal compliance before publishing content.

The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties and take on other responsibilities as dictated by events and circumstances.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the position.
• Over 3 years of extensive experience in audio production.
• Demonstrated exceptional aptitude in producing top-notch audio content.
• Exhibit advanced proficiency in audio editing and storytelling techniques.
• Ability to communicate ideas and concepts with excellent oral and written skills.
• Experience in working autonomously, effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Meet demanding deadlines with precision and efficiency.
