POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Sr. Sound Designer (Full time or Contractor)

DEPARTMENT: Creative Services

REPORTS TO: Promotions Lead

PRIMARY FUNCTION: To produce high-end audio creative solutions that support TV promotions, Channel Idents, special packages and other media and video products.

SPECIFIC DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: (Essential Functions: Duties and responsibilities noted with bullets are considered to be the essential functions of the job).

•          Provide creative audio and sound solutions for various video and media products.
•          Create and add sound effect, Mix, level, balance, master and finalize all the audio requirements for MBN’s creative solutions and audio and visual segments.
•          Supervise recording voice overs and direct voice over talents when required.
•          Compose special Sonics and original music compositions and signatures.
•          Provide music and audio concepts to the creative team.
•          Maintain a music and sound effects library and track usage rights.
•          Maintain MBN’s audio identity.

OTHER DUTIES:

• The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties and take on other responsibilities as dictated by events and circumstances.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

•      Degree in music or audio or equivalent experience 7+ years of experience in a music and audio production environment.
•      Excellent skills in Protool and Adobe Audition.
•      Ability to demonstrate creative thinking in storytelling using music, sound effects and direction/ performance of voice over.
•      Ability to read, speak and understand Classical Arabic at a professional level.
