Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:  The Senior Broadcast Operations Support position is a pivotal role within our broadcasting team, requiring a high level of skill, adaptability, and expertise in a diverse range of production positions. This position serves as the backbone of our production operations and plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless, high-quality broadcasts.

 

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: (Essential Functions: Duties and responsibilities noted with bullets are considered the essential functions of the job).

 

  • Multi-Skilled Expertise: The Senior Broadcast Operation Support is an expert in multiple production positions, including but not limited to Vizrt, Prompter, Floor, Video and Audio. They possess the ability to seamlessly transition between these roles, ensuring the smooth execution of live and recorded broadcasts.
  • Coverage and Flexibility: This position is responsible for filling in as needed across various production positions, especially during continuous coverage. They must be prepared to step into roles with minimal notice and ensure that production standards are consistently met.
  • Operational Efficiency: The Senior Broadcast Operations Support is committed to maintaining operational efficiency. They contribute to optimizing workflow processes, assisting in problem-solving, and ensuring that equipment and technology are used effectively.
  • Quality Assurance: As an experienced team member, the Senior Broadcast Operations Support plays a key role in upholding the highest standards of production quality. They review and refine production practices to meet or exceed industry benchmarks.
  • Training and Mentorship: In addition to performing their duties, the Senior Broadcast Operations Support shares their knowledge and skills with junior team members, contributing to their professional growth and development.

 

OTHER DUTIES:

  • The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties and take on other responsibilities as dictated by events and circumstances.

 

QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  •          5+ years extensive experience in various production positions, with a proven track record of excellence.
  •          A deep understanding of industry-standard equipment, software, and technology.
  •          Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  •          Exceptional ability to adapt to changing requirements and high-pressure situations.
  •          Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  •          A commitment to maintaining production quality and efficiency.
  •          A willingness to mentor and support the professional growth of junior team members.
  •          Candidate must have a commitment to excellence and to ongoing education in broadcast and to the mastery of their craft.
  •          Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours, including overnights, holidays and weekends.
