UI/UX Designer

 

The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is looking for a qualified and experienced UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) designer to assist the product development team, and be responsible for creating intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centric digital experiences.

The primary duties and responsibilities of the UI/UX Designer include, but are not limited to:

1. User Research: 
• Conducting user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and preferences of the target audience. This includes analyzing user feedback, conducting surveys, and studying user personas.
2. Information Architecture: 
• Organizing and structuring information to create a logical and user-friendly navigation flow within digital products.
3. Wireframing and Prototyping: 
• Creating low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes that visually represent the layout, interactions, and functionalities of the product.
4. Visual Design: 
• Designing visually appealing user interfaces that align with the brand's aesthetics while ensuring a consistent and cohesive design language.
5. Interaction Design: 
• Defining how users interact with the product, including animations, transitions, and micro-interactions, to enhance usability and engagement.
6. Usability Testing: 
• Conducting usability testing sessions to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement, then iterating on designs based on test results.
7. Collaboration:
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other designers, to ensure that design concepts are effectively translated into functional products.
8. Responsive Design: 
• Designing for multiple screen sizes and devices to ensure a seamless experience across various platforms (desktop, mobile, tablet, etc.).
9. Accessibility:
• Integrating accessibility principles into the design process to ensure that digital products are usable by individuals with disabilities.
10. Staying Updated:
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance design skills and approaches.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• A degree in Design, Interaction Design, or a related field. While formal education is beneficial, practical experience and a strong portfolio are often equally important.
• Proven experience as a UI/UX designer, with a track record of successfully delivering user-centered design solutions for digital products. A minimum of 5 years of experience is typically expected.
• A well-curated portfolio showcasing a range of UI/UX projects that demonstrate design skills, problem-solving abilities, and a user-centered design approach.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar tools for creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs.
• A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, present design concepts, and explain design rationale.
• Ability to identify design challenges and provide innovative solutions to enhance the user experience.
• A meticulous approach to design, with a focus on pixel-perfect execution and consistency.
• While not always required, basic front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) can be advantageous for effective collaboration with development teams.
• Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements, user feedback, and evolving design trends.
• The ability to empathize with users and advocate for their needs throughout the design process.
