Design Lead-Brand and UX 

The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a Design Lead-Brand and UX for our Creative Services department at our Headquarters office in Springfield, VA. The Design Lead develops, creates, presents, and maintains visual branding solution for MBN and its entities, including logos, colors, typefaces, layouts, infographics, and other branding elements. The incumbent provides original, innovative visual branding solutions, which establishes MBN and its entities among the competitors.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: (Essential Functions: Duties and responsibilities noted with bullets are considered to be the essential functions of the job).

•          Lead and supervise MBN’s brand and UX design team to ensure the production of the highest quality graphics and work efficiency.
•          Generate creative ideas and concepts to serve MBN’s visual branding and infographics requirements.
•          Create and maintain an energetic and positive creative environment.
•          Design and oversee various visual branding solutions utilizing the latest software, platform, mediums, technologies, and techniques.
•          Produce and deliver hi-quality illustrations, layouts, logos, sketches, and animation.
•          Organize shifts, workload, job requests, deliveries, and distribution of jobs.
•          Establishes and maintains great professional relationships with MBN team members.
•          Utilize the latest software, platforms, technologies, and techniques.
•          Serve as key designer and animator.
•          Work and coordinate with MBN’s team members on job requirements, brainstorming, deliveries, and workflows.
•          Present innovative ideas, concepts, and solutions which encompass the latest trends and technologies of the industry.
•          Identifies and learns new technologies/design techniques and take lead role in sharing knowledge. 
•          Stay on top of all design trends and maintain best practices.

     OTHER DUTIES:

·         The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties and take on other responsibilities dictated by events and circumstances.

Candidates are required to have:

•         A degree in Fine Arts, motion graphics, design, multimedia, or equivalent education or experience, minimum of 5 years of related experience.
•         Exceptional design skills with emphasis on digital and broadcast brand design, logos, layouts, colors, and infographics.
•         Excellent communications skills, with a can-do and positive attitude.
•         Minimum of 2 years managing design experience.
•         Bi-lingual in reading, writing, and speaking Modern Standard Arabic are preferred.
•         Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, and Photoshop. Cinema 4D, 3D Max, Unreal, and/ or Maya experience is additional.
•         Excellent experience in designing for digital and broadcast platforms.
•         Demonstrate exceptional creative and various graphics skills.
•         Be able to read Arabic and provide creative solutions for it.
•         Have an excellent eye for design, form, and color and will be familiar with both MAC and PC.
•         Have excellent communication skills.
