Content Producer MBN-Y
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a creative and positive Social Media Content Producer to d evelop original concepts, and program ideas for segments and content for a digital platform that’s youth targeted. MBN Y is a product built for the platforms where young people in the MENA region spend much of their time. With content for Gen Z, a conscientious, informed, and unapologetic generation, that is concerned with social justice and not afraid to make their voices heard. This person is key support on creative productions and content creation and pitching.
Production skills include but are not limited to - setting up and participating in field shoots, gathering, and organizing elements for edit, supporting editors with media, and participating in a collaborative production process.
SPECIFIC DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
· Pitch compelling and engaging show ideas and episodes for our social media channels including (but not confined to) TikTok, Instagram, YouTube.
· Program and produce daily and weekly content for our platforms, including shooting and editing videos.
· Contribute to pitch decks, providing video inspiration and creative solutions.
· Write engaging scripts for our videos and captions.
· Develop a consistent approach and tone of voice for MBN-Y’s brand.
· Monitor trends on social media and react quickly as well as identify potential trends and ideas that align with our brand, using them to create original real time content.
· Have demonstrable skills in visual storytelling.
· Have solid experience in post-production workflows, tools, and methodologies to create text, graphics and motion elements.
· Serve as a point person on all quick-turn video requests, providing streaming links, thumbnails, captions/subtitles, and light-touch editing
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's degree in film, video production, or journalism, or related fields.
· Excellent verbal and written Arabic and English communication skills.
· A creative and innovative storyteller with 4+ years of social media management and content production/editing experience.
· 1+ years of experience creating content for TikTok.
· 2+ years’ experience in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects.
· Deep understanding of the TikTok platform (trends, hashtags, music usage, functionalities, guidelines, and platform updates).
· Proficiency in creating lo-fi content using native iPhone/Android tools, apps, and TikTok editing suite.
· Strong knowledge of internet culture and social media platform best practices, including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
· Knowledge of, or demonstrable interest in, the relevant content areas – for example, climate and sustainability, artificial intelligence, resilience, mental health, etc.
· Excellent knowledge of social media – the various platforms, formats, user behaviors, analytics.
· Strong audio recording and sound mixing skills in addition to experience in working with stock templates.
· Great interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.
· A self-motivated approach and a focus on taking ownership of projects and driving impact.
