 Senior Producer – Sawa Digital 

 

The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a Senior Producer – Sawa in Digital Department for developing, producing, and managing multiple types and genres of audio content.

SPECIFIC DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES Duties and responsibilities noted below are considered to be the essential functions of the job

  • Plan episodes, finalize pitches, coordinate assignments, and supervise preparation of copy and audio input.
  • Assign and edit news stories from staff, freelance and contract reporters.
  • Oversee format improvements, production plans and assignments.
  • Provide feedback, review, and approve of final copies of scripts and audio content.
  • Oversee field and studio recordings.
  • Oversee format improvements, production plans and assignments.
  • Supervise all aspects of post-production, ensuring final product meets all editorial and technical standards. .
  • Leverage MBN’s global network of reporters to produce audio content from around the region that speak to target audience’s concerns and interests.
  • Stay abreast of industry standards to ensure all audio content  meets best practice standards.
  • Assist in developing and producing new podcasts.
  • Train staff on audio storytelling techniques and best practices.
  • Manage audio operations, including budgets, staffing and creative.
  • Work closely with MBN staff to identify and develop existing internal content opportunities.
  • Set KPIs for audience growth and continually evaluate performance.
  • Partner with cross-network teams on marketing and communication strategies.
  • Manage partnerships with key distributors and potential content providers.

Candidates are required to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, journalism, or relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in audio content production.
  • Proven experience in developing host and producer talent.
  • Sound editorial/narrative judgement.
  • Highly skilled at writing, with a creative approach of audio storytelling.
  • Strong cross-departmental collaborative skills.
  • Scripting, editing, and sound quality/audio editing skills required.
