Engagement Producer 

The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking an Engagement Producer who will be acting as the bridge between Sawa and its audiences at our headquarters in Springfield, VA.

The Engagement Producer crafts original content on social media channels, uses engagement and social tools to share and create content, solicits audience questions that feed podcast episode content and production, edits program summaries and other copy, and produces episode pages on the website using via the content management system.

The Engagement Producer fosters authentic connections and conversations that center the audience's desires and needs, to help build the audio and online products for MBN podcasts.

SPECIFIC DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES Duties and responsibilities noted below are considered to be the essential functions of the job

• Publish podcasts on the Website, podcasting apps, and social media platforms.
• Maintain and engage communities on Facebook, Instagram, and other social networks.
• Write compelling promotional text for social media and messaging apps to attract listeners.
• Design captivating promotional pictures and short videos to announce and promote the podcast.
• Write and oversee newsletter for effective email outreach.
• Reach out and coordinate interviews with influencers and newsmakers.
• Establish channels on WhatsApp, Telegram, and other approved apps for widespread dissemination.
• Collaborate with Marketing to ensure appropriate and impactful campaigns.
• Collaborate with the technical director to ensure the website presents podcasts effectively.
• Assist in advertising and collecting audience contributions for citizen-journalism style podcasts.
• Provide analysis, audience feedback, and community-management efforts as needed.
• Generate innovative and engaging ideas for Sawa output to captivate audiences.
• Craft compelling headlines and produce appealing thumbnails and metadata for social media posts.
• Manage dissemination and promotion activities of Sawa output across multiple platforms.
• Develop innovative methods to drive engagement on social media platforms.
• Experiment with audience engagement and community management techniques.
• Continuously monitor trends and offer suggestions to the editorial and marketing teams
• Ensure a consistent tone of voice for Sawa across all platforms.
• Create original and captivating stories and interactive content for social platforms.
• Identify and share actionable insights and best practices with the editorial and marketing teams to shape future engagement strategies.

Candidates are required to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or relevant field
• 2-4 years’ experience in online journalism, podcasts, and social media management.
• Strong writing and editing skills. 
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Deep understanding of how social media platforms work.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in creating original, engaging social media content.
• Proficiency in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on engagement via native and 3^rd party analytics tools.
• Knowledge of Photoshop and Premiere is strongly preferred.
• Audio editing skills are a plus.
