Content Senior Producer, Programming 

The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a creative journalist to be responsible for the content created by the team as a Content Senior Producer for Alhurra within our Programming Department at our offices in Springfield, VA. MBN is a non-profit, multimedia broadcaster that provides news and information to audiences in the Middle East and North Africa through television, radio and digital properties. 

The Content Senior Producer determines and maintains agendas, selection of topics, and angles of treatment, in order to make sure that it aligns with the departments’ vision and MBN's mission. The incumbent is reponsible for the quality content and oversees the entire content idea generation process from pre-production to post-production, including but not limited to editorial content, scripts and interviews.

The Content Senior Producer pitches program ideas, content elements, and assists in program pilots. The incumbent reports to the Senior Executive Producer and watches post produced show before Air for quality purposes.

Candidates are required to have:

• At least a Bachelor’s degree, in journalism or broadcast journalism 
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in media production
• Excellent Arabic, English written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound editorial and creative judgment.
• Working knowledge and ability to operate RCS/ENPS.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to thrive in an environment requiring teamwork.
• Ability to accommodate flexible work schedule to support 24/7 news environment.
