Investigative Reporter
The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking an Investigative Reporter to generate research and report short, mid and long-form stories at our headquarters in Springfield, VA.
The Investigative Reporter utilizes his/her strong writing and storytelling skills, through investigation and data driven research. Cultivates and maintains credible news sources and Identifies and pitches investigative news stories.
The Incumbent writes online versions of investigative reports and adapts them for radio service as well. Conducts interviews with news sources have a wide variety of views and expertise. Checks reports for balance, clarity, and objectivity to ensure they are free of bias and advocacy.
The Investigative reporter writes compelling scripts and overseas production to ensure broadcast quality of stories and reports. meanwhile, utilizes info-graphics and graphic designs to sharpen script focus and data presentation.
Candidates are required to have:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field
- A minimum of 7 years as a Professional Reporter
- Strong editorial judgment and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate and translate from English to classic Arabic
- Superior story writing and storytelling ability.
- Strong communications skills.
- Good knowledge of internet, database and computer assisted reporting techniques
