Pay Range:  $44.94-$74.15

The Nurse Manager functions as the leader for the operating room, its patient population and assigned staff. The Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility and accountability for all patient care activities, unit operation and staff function.  The position provides clinical management, leadership, coordination, and operational direction for areas of responsibility. They will serves as the tactical point person as it relates to patient care, staff development, physician relationships, quality initiatives, program development, and system-wide success.  The manager ensures that quality nursing/patient care is delivered to all patients in the operating room in accordance with established hospital standards, unit structure, process and outcome standards, regulatory and accreditation requirements and the philosophy, goals and objectives, and mission of the hospital and nursing division. 

The manager is responsible for the scheduling of staff, performance evaluations and professional development.  The manager will serve as a role model and creatively respond to changes within healthcare.   The manager will participate in unit projects and demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills. 

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and current New York RN license. BLS required or obtained within 3 months of CNOR preferred and show evidence of continued professional growth. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the clinical area relevant to unit/service patient population, including proven experience/expertise in management area.
